Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Security Systems Technician to install, service, and support IP camera systems and access control solutions, as well as low voltage network cabling.

This mid-level position is ideal for a hands-on professional who has several years of low-voltage experience and takes pride in clean, organized installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure IP video surveillance (CCTV) and access control systems.
  • Run, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, etc.).
  • Mount cameras, readers, and panels with professional workmanship.
  • Diagnose and repair connectivity, power, and network issues.
  • Assist with project documentation and customer sign-off.
  • Collaborate with project managers and support teams to ensure on-time completion.
  • Provide on-site and occasional remote technical support for installed systems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in security, surveillance, access control, or low-voltage installation.
  • Familiar with Digital Watchdog or similar IP-based camera systems.
  • Familiar with PDK, CDVI or other access control systems.
  • Working knowledge of PoE, switches, and basic network setup.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working on ladders or lifts and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with electronic door hardware and control panels.
  • OSHA, low voltage license or manufacturer certifications a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans.
