The Product Owner, Cloud & AI will lead the development of next-generation cloud and AI capabilities for a high-impact software platform. This role involves translating strategic goals into actionable product requirements and user stories, driving cloud-native functionality and AI-powered workflows, and ensuring seamless collaboration across engineering, UX, and product teams. You will help shape the migration from desktop to cloud, embedding AI features to enhance user productivity and system scalability. This position offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy, deliver measurable business value, and work in an innovative, fast-paced environment where creativity, collaboration, and user-focused solutions are prioritized.

Accountabilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for cloud platforms and connected services, including APIs, telemetry, and synchronization features.
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and AI use cases such as intelligent assistants, predictive workflows, and automation insights.
  • Partner with software architects and engineering managers to ensure scalability, performance, and security of cloud and AI modules.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable development plans, maintaining alignment with business goals and transformation roadmaps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure feature readiness, release quality, and cohesive customer experiences.
  • Monitor KPIs for backlog velocity, cloud adoption, and AI feature engagement, incorporating user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely delivery of cloud and AI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in software or platform development.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architectures (Azure/AWS), SaaS principles, and API integration.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly LLM integration and deployment of AI services on cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level strategy into detailed product requirements and actionable technical plans.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner, background in manufacturing software/CAD-CAM, knowledge of telemetry and analytics pipelines, and familiarity with hybrid cloud-to-desktop deployment models.
