We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to support a manufacturing environment focused on building custom control systems and industrial components. This role is hands-on and requires strong mechanical ability, precision, and a quality-driven mindset. You'll work closely with engineering and production teams to build metal parts and assemblies used in industrial control equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication work orders
  • Cut, bend, form, and assemble metal components (steel, stainless, aluminum)
  • Operate fabrication machinery including press brakes, shears, drill presses, band saws, grinders, punches, and welding equipment
  • Weld, grind, finish, and fit components to required tolerances
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure) to verify dimensions
  • Assemble mechanical parts and sub-structures for enclosures, brackets, frames, and mounting systems
  • Assist in preparing parts for panel assembly and installation teams
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintain clean work area, and help improve fabrication processes
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely, accurate builds

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication tools and machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and safety-focused work habits

Preferred Skills

  • MIG/TIG welding experience
  • CNC fabrication knowledge
  • Experience fabricating components for industrial systems or control enclosures
  • Basic understanding of control panel or electrical enclosure construction (nice to have, not required)
