Server/Cashier

Job Summary

This is only 3 days a week

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Experience in food preparation, POS systems, and food safety is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for the food industry. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food handling within a vibrant café or quick service restaurant setting.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, dining areas, and cashier stations
• Assist with food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
• Buss tables and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to ensure a welcoming environment
• Manage multiple responsibilities such as serving, cashiering, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant industry, or retail math is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently under pressure
• Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment typical of quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés
• Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing tables, or kitchen tasks is desirable
• A positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and delivering an exceptional guest experience

• Must have a Health Card and a TAM card

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
