Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, infection control, and dental procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional oral health services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, patient education, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment.
- Assist with dental procedures using chairside assisting techniques, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the dental team by managing medical imaging procedures and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Antibiotic and laser therapies
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Dental Hygienist with current state licensure.
- Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings; experience with pediatric patients
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations.

Pay: From $62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
