The Field Technician II, Leak Survey conducts leak survey inspections on designated natural gas systems, providing quality service to meet client's compliance requirements. The position will be

required to fulfill all the duties as a Field Technician, Leak Survey. With an advanced knowledge of leak surveying they will help assist and train other leak survey technicians.

Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures

• Follow all company, client, state, and federal code of regulation requirements.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
• Complete the Heath Consultants training and operator qualification program requirements.
• Represents the company in a professional manner.
• Accurately detect, classify, and document natural gas leakage on client infrastructure.
• Complete daily leak reports, address lists, and any other documentation required by Heath and our client.
• Safely operating the company vehicle per the vehicle policy.
• Reading utility prints and maps.
• Communicating and interacting with homeowners and utility representatives.
• Develop a knowledge and understanding of the utilities infrastructure.
• Some overtime and travel required.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
• Assist the Field Supervisor with training Field Technicians.
• Assist other technicians with leaks when necessary.
• Complete the Field Technician Level II qualifications.
• Must have no quality issues in the last 6 months.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of gas leak surveying experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Word, excel and power point.

• Advanced Pinpointing Technique
• Advance knowledge of Leak Survey equipment

Work Environment

Working in residential and remote areas as designated by client.

This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Once an indication of a leak is found, a 10-15 lb. plunger bar is used to punch holes in the ground so that an instrument probe can be inserted into the ground to measure the concentration of natural gas as part of the investigation procedure. The plunger bar is similar to a fence post driver.
• Walking between 3 to 7 miles per day on varying types of terrain in all types of weather.

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel 25-35% of the time, Some positions up to 75% of the time
• Able to travel for two weeks or more at a time
