Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing multiple departments, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest relations and team communication. The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality, supervising staff, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Lead and supervise department managers and staff, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performance team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue management and optimize occupancy rates.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met through effective resource allocation.
  • Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a memorable guest experience.
  • Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, hotel policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to promote the hotel's services and amenities effectively.
  • Handle night audit processes and oversee guest check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Utilize multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette to manage reservations, inquiries, and guest communications efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles; supervisory experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles including revenue management, budgeting, and guest services.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams across multiple departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software systems; experience with front desk operations and night audit procedures preferred.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse guests and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices related to staffing, training, and employee relations.
