Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Special Procedures Technologist.
In this role, the successful candidate assists in the performance of medically prescribed radiographs and interventional procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology.
- Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.
- Maintains supplies and cleanliness of space, restocks supplies as needed.
- Notifies supervisor of any shortage of any supplies.
- Handles stressful situations with little or no supervision.
- Maintains confidentiality on matters to which they are privileged.
- Answers patient questions to ensure understanding and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses and office and clinical staff.
- Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.
- Implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Effectively assesses patients information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.
- Performs interventional and general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams for evaluation and treatment by physician.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 5 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificate from accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- New York State license with IV Contrast Certification.
- Five (5) years experience as an X-ray Technologist.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in interventional radiology.College graduate.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $106,386 - $121,933 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
