Content Creator & Strategist: Social Media & Email
- Classification & Compensation: This is a part-time, non-exempt role at $35–$45 per hour (W-2), depending on experience. 20 hours per week.
- Location: Remote (Portland metro). Expect 2–3 weekday shoots/month with our founder in NE Portland (typically 2–3 hours each).

The Opportunity
Almond Clear is seeking a strategic, growth-driven Content Creator to own and scale our organic social media presence on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.This isn't just a content role. We're looking for someone who can turn organic social into a revenue-driving channel, while building a vibrant, engaged community and increasing brand equity.
You'll develop platform-specific strategies, oversee content creation, collaborate with our founder Leslie Eisen, and collaborate with our paid media partners to bring Almond Clear to life across many touchpoints.
You'll also be responsible for creating our monthly email marketing campaigns and periodically improving upon/expanding our existing email flows, so experience with writing, designing, and optimizing email marketing within Klaviyo is a must.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced person who can quickly understand the heart and mission of our brand and creatively express it across many types of content. You must be able to think big-picture, move quickly, and not be afraid to jump in, take ownership, and drive measurable results.
Your success will be measured using a bi-weekly KPI scorecard that tracks engagement, open rates, sales, followers, and other key metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Be the voice of our brand: Ensure that all content expresses Almond Clear's voice, missions, values, and unique selling propositions. Requires excellent videography and writing skills, not copy/paste ideas and content from ChatGPT.
- Own the content calendar: Plan, develop, and manage Almond Clear's monthly social and email content calendar to tell our brand story in fresh and engaging ways.
- Create original content: Film and edit authentic, fast-turn videos (phone-based), design eye-catching graphics in Canva, and capture lifestyle or product imagery.
- Show up on camera: Create or capture UGC-style videos with the Founder and customers, sharing tutorials, stories, and trend-based content.
- Create founder-centered content: Collaborate with the brand founder to film 2-3 social posts per month in NE Portland, Oregon. Typically 2–3 hours each filiming session, to be scheduled weekdays between 9am–5pm.
- Publish consistently: Post 3-6 times per week on both Instagram and TikTok, including short-form video (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) and static posts highlighting products, ingredients, and results.
- Test and learn: Track and analyze performance to identify what resonates and iterate quickly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Marketing, Customer Experience, and the Founder to ensure content supports business goals.
- Stay trend-savvy: Monitor social trends and platform updates, strategically leveraging them to educate and connect with our audience.
- Support paid media: Identify high-performing organic content to repurpose as ads.
- Drive email performance: Plan, write, and deploy eight monthly campaigns using AI tools to increase engagement, retention, and conversion.
- Optimize & improve email flows: Review and refine the new customer email journey and other email flows to ensure a seamless, educational, and on-brand experience that drives repeat purchase and loyalty.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in high-quality social media content creation for a consumer-facing brand (beauty, wellness, or CPG preferred).
- 2+ years of email marketing strategy and creation. You are very comfortable with Klaviyo and create and iterate flows and campaigns.
- You have strong storytelling instincts and ability to express brand voice through content.
- You have a data-driven mindset — you track what matters and optimize and adjust accordingly.
- You have a deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts content strategies.
- You love writing and have been told by teachers or employers that you are an outstanding writer and communicator.
- Proven success using social media to drive measurable growth and revenue.
- Experience building content calendars aligned with marketing goals.
- High sense of ownership, initiative, and bias toward action
