Job Summary/Basic Function
Parking Enforcement Supervisor will supervise daily activities and operations of parking enforcement in support of enforcing campus parking rules and regulations, to include monitoring and evaluating performance, conducting training, scheduling days off and vacations, and scheduling shift coverage. The Parking Enforcement Supervisor conducts interviews and conversations with highly emotional patrons, and educate them about rules, regulations, and department practices. This position issues written and computer-generated parking citations and transferring citation data to parking software system. Parking Enforcement Supervisor investigates complaints and resolves recurring parking enforcement problems encountered by parking enforcement hourly staff. This position maintains records of parking enforcement staff's daily activities to include citations issued and review of tickets and daily staff reports, compilation of data and prepares a variety of statistical and narrative activity reports and maintains and issues supplies and equipment as necessary. Parking Enforcement Supervisor oversees staff scheduling, and set up and take down for special event parking. This position will assist with annual lot and sign maintenance as needed. Parking Enforcement Supervisor will have working knowledge and be cross trained to work in Pay lot, Information Booth, and Enforcement and has a working knowledge of software used in each area.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree or equivalent
- Three years of related experience that includes supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Two years of LPR enforcement experience
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience using Paylock and/or other Parking Management Software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
