Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Epic Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting solutions and dashboards to support operational, clinical, and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to optimize reporting capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Epic and other business intelligence tools.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to produce actionable insights for operational and clinical decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement reporting solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with project teams, IT staff, and external partners to deliver reporting enhancements and system improvements.
- Ensure all reports and dashboards comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA.
- Develop test plans and validation methodologies to guarantee accuracy and reliability of reporting systems.
- Train and support end-users, providing guidance on effective utilization of Epic reporting tools.
- Monitor system performance and maintain reporting platforms to ensure consistent reliability and operational efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring others and promoting best practices in reporting and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience (minimum 3 years).
- Epic Reporting Certifications (2 or more required).
- 4–7 years of experience with SQL and relational database querying (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- 4–7 years of experience creating Epic reports including Dashboard, Slicer Dicer, and Reporting Workbench.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
- Strong experience in project delivery and systems development life cycles.
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with external partners to meet reporting needs and enhancements.
- Healthcare experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in cloud and server-based applications, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to design custom metrics, registries, and scripts within Epic and work independently with outside health systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, privacy, and compliance in all reporting and data management activities.
