experienced landfill gas professionals whose combined experience covers the technical and regulatory aspects of landfill gas system operation. Founded by a former landfill gas

technician in 2005, MCC has grown over the years a reputation as one of the go to landfill gas service providers by being focused on building relationships through responsive reliable services.

Core Responsibilities
Project & Team Leadership

  • Manage multiple landfill gas sites and supervise field personnel.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and high-performance standards.
  • Develop monthly project schedules (tuning, SEM, preventative maintenance) and communicate timelines clearly.
  • Prepare work plans, coordinate procurement, schedule fieldwork, and oversee non-routine events.
  • Champion safety practices and ensure compliance across all assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with other regions to share resources and support completion of critical tasks.

Technical Oversight

  • Review landfill gas system data and guide system optimization.
  • Consult with clients regarding upgrades, repairs, and compliance strategy.
  • Lead resolution of complex field issues and support technicians in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Evaluate quality and consistency of data collection and field maintenance practices.
  • Maintain service schedules and documentation for trucks, generators, ATVs, and related equipment.

QA/QC & Reporting

  • Conduct occasional site inspections to assess work quality.
  • Review and critique tuning processes and data for accuracy.
  • Ensure consistent flow and integrity of operational data (e.g., flare systems).
  • Generate and deliver monthly reports in alignment with budget and company standards.
  • Present performance data to internal and external stakeholders.

Financial & Invoicing

  • Approve technician timecards, expenses, and vendor invoices.
  • Generate and review project invoices, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to expand services with current clients and explore new business leads.
  • Promote MCC's value through strategic project insights and collaborative solutions.

Personnel Management

  • Conduct site visits, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback for technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with MCC policies and safety procedures.
  • Mentor team members by assigning responsibilities that support skill growth and advancement.

Requirements
Qualifications
Required Skills & Traits

  • Must have experience with landfill gas systems, including operations, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities with flexibility and timeliness.
  • Skilled in mentoring, supervising, and collaborating with field staff.
  • Strong communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Committed to safety, performance excellence, and project profitability.

Preferred Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in:

  • Environmental Engineering

  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Construction Management
  • Business Administration (Preferred but not required)

  • Industry Certifications:

  • SWANA MOLO (Manager of Landfill Operations)
  • OSHA Safety Certification
  • HAZWOPER (as applicable)
