Job Summary

The pay for this job depends on experience. The hours will be 20-40 depending on shop needs. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated embroiderer to support our main embroidery specialist. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to gain experience in the embroidery and textile industry. The Embroidery Assistant will be responsible for helping prioritize daily embroidery orders, running embroidery machines, and maintaining a clean and organized production area. The secondary responsibilities, and the ones that you will probably be doing most of the time is helping with post production. Which includes catching shirts off the dryer, folding garments, and order fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in prioritizing and organizing daily embroidery orders.
  • Operate multi-head and single-head embroidery machines following standard safety procedures.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks including oiling and cleaning of embroidery machines.
  • Identify appropriate hoop sizes, backing, needles, and thread for each job.
  • Hoop apparel, load it onto machines, and ensure machines remain threaded and operational.
  • Prepare the next run while keeping the current machine run on schedule.
  • Set up, tension, operate, and troubleshoot embroidery projects to meet customer specifications.
  • Monitor orders to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional production area.
  • Digitizing knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Catching shirts off the end of the dryer.
  • Folding
  • Order fulfilment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor machine maintenance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
