Production Assistant

Description

The Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the pre and post production process. Transports and verifies raw materials from requisition to production. Carries out final inspection and reconciliation of finished goods prior to packaging and inventory. Responsible for maintaining a clean workspace in the pre and post production workflow. Productive worker with solid work ethic who successfully completes tasks by being a dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

· Maintain and enforce all applicable standard operating procedures and policies

· Supports Production Supervisor in the requisition, staging, verification and transport of raw materials from warehouse to production area

· Prepare and load raw materials onto equipment for processing

· Stack, review and disposition materials following initial processing, fabric cutting, sub-assembly

· Stage and transport raw materials from warehouse to Production Area

· Receive and package finished materials from production area - prior to Steris processing or receipt into inventory

· Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

· Maintain a clean and organized process flow

· General understanding of all part numbers processed through production area

· Informed understanding of SOPs that impact general employee and quality activities

· Informed understanding of GSS system with regard to logging into shifts and work orders

· Works with the Production Assistant Supervisor and Assistant to Production Manager

o To review daily tasks

· All other tasks as assigned

· Adhere to following the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards

Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications include:

· Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

· Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

  • Work with attention to detail and safety standards
  • Hard-working and committed to achieving excellence
  • Eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts
  • Good communication -ability to listen, write, and speak effectively
  • Team player who can build trusting relationships with co-workers

Preferred Qualifications include:

· Experience in manufacturing

Lifting Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Physical and Ergonomic Requirements

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Supervisor-Production Assistant

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
