Hitachi Rail provides signaling systems for metros and light rail systems. Our solutions provide efficient, safe and green transportation solutions for people around the world. We're looking for eligible students to join Hitachi Rail Hiring for May 2026 through August 2026.
Mission:
- Will support an exciting array of mass transit projects.
- Will provide exposure to Hitachi's latest control system technologies, safety-relevant product development techniques, and product validation processes.
Accountabilities/responsibilities:
- Develop integrated software solutions with guidance from senior developers.
- Generate and review database files for automation algorithms.
- Test software in lab and field environments to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Collaborate with global teams to support ATC and CBTC transit projects.
- Review field data and diagnose performance anomalies.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Familiarity with C, C++, and/or Python programming fundamentals in Windows or Linux environments. (Other programming languages and skills may be accommodated.)
- Experience with configuration management principles and tools, such as Git.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while producing quality work.
- General ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics
- Ability to collaborate in team environment.
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic, analytical, and debugging skills
- Demonstrate competency in programming fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to Detail and ability to multi-task.
Education:
- Electrical Engineering or Computer Science student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027.
Languages:
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
