Job DescriptionWe are seeking a visionary Senior Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of applications that empower T-Mobile's frontline teams. This leader will oversee the evolution of tools and platforms that simplify daily operations, elevate the employee experience, and retire legacy systems in favor of modern, cloud-native, mobile-first solutions. The role is central to enabling a digital-first journey for frontline representatives — giving them the insights, automation, and simplicity needed to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
As Senior Manager, you will guide a multi-functional engineering organization responsible for building and scaling applications that power seamless digital and in-store workflows. You will partner closely with product, retail, and technology leadership to define vision, establish architectural direction, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, performant, and innovative solutions that enhance the frontline and customer journey.

Job Responsibilities
Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams focused on mobile/web, microservices, and API platform development supporting frontline and digital-first initiatives.
Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management for engineering managers and technical leads.
Define and implement the technology roadmap to modernize legacy systems into cloud-native, API-driven architectures.
Partner with Product, UX, Retail, and Business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Champion Agile and DevOps practices, driving automation, platform reusability, and delivery excellence across engineering teams.
Oversee the architecture, design, and scaling of enterprise-grade applications and services deployed across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Establish API platform strategy and governance, ensuring modularity, reliability, and high availabilit
Define and track platform KPIs including uptime, latency, and performance SLAs, ensuring operational resilience and compliance with security standards.
Drive digital transformation by retiring legacy systems and enabling tools that empower frontline representatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Collaborate multi-functionally with Retail, Commerce, Marketing, and Store Technology teams to deliver unified, frictionless user journeys.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing transparency on progress, risks, and critical initiatives.
Build, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.
Inspire teams to adopt modern engineering practices, promote continuous learning, and embrace new technologies.
Influence enterprise technology and platform strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer experience goals.
Represent T-Mobile's engineering leadership within the organization and the broader technology community
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or in a computer programming related field. (Required)
7-10 years Experience of developing large scale business systems applications. Required
2-4 years Management experience with programming staff including leadership, planning, and coordination of development work for 4 large projects. Required
More than 10 years Overall IT experience. Required
Preferred Experience
Proven track record in leading large-scale mobile, microservices, and API platform initiatives in cloud-native environments.
Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API design principles, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong expertise in CI/CD automation, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Demonstrated success in modernizing legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based, and API-driven architectures.
Experience building and scaling digital platforms that support both mobile and retail ecosystems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Base Pay Range: $160,000 - $288,500Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
