What Makes This Role Stand Out?

  • Be the SBA Expert: Analyze and prepare credit presentations for SBA-guaranteed loans, ensuring every detail aligns with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Mentor & Guide: Support and mentor credit analysts and staff interested in SBA specialties—your expertise will shape the next generation of lending professionals.
  • Collaborate & Connect: Work closely with Business Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and members to deliver top-notch service and solutions.
  • Drive Results: Identify credit risks early, escalate to leadership, and ensure all SBA-required documents are submitted for approval.
  • Expand Your Impact: Support conventional loan requests and provide overflow coverage for the Credit Analyst Pipeline.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years in Business Credit Underwriting/Analysis or Lending (7+ years in financial institutions preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of SBA, WHEDA, USDA lending, and related services.
  • Extensive understanding of lending laws and regulations.
  • Strong initiative, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced mathematical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
