About the Position:

This position will report to the Director of Finance. It will oversee daily accounts receivable / accounts payable, and job-costing activity of the Accounting department. The position will assist the Director of Finance in audits, month-end/year-end, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee all AP activity to ensure vendor invoices are accurate and entered timely. This includes resolving technical and non-technical accounting problems related to the invoice.

· Day-to-day management of the accounting activities and Accounting staff (including the activities related to the month/quarter-end/year-end closing responsibilities).

· Support the Director in setting objectives (and implementing best practices) to improve efficiencies in the monthly close process and the quarterly process of data gathering (using Global Shop ERP); and assisting in generating journal entries for review.

· Administer the corporate credit-card program.

· Assist in recording daily bank transaction in our ERP.

· This position will ensure financial activities are compliant with all internal/external policies.

· Continuous evaluation of the business processes/procedures implemented by the Director of Finance

· Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed.

· Provide meaningful feedback and goal setting on performance evaluations of accounting staff.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.

· Experience supervising and leading a team

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

· Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Advanced Excel skills and solid analytical abilities.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· High attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to motivate staff.

Work Environment:

· This is an office position.

· Regular collaboration with finance leadership, auditors, and other departments.

· Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
