Pelato is hiring for our anticipated February Grand Opening
It's official One of the most popular & most booked restaurants in downtown Nashville is opening its newest location in Franklin. Located in a standalone 9,000 sq foot space at the Cool Springs Galleria, Pelato offers Authentic Brooklyn Italian in an elevated casual, sharable small plate setting. Reservation requests are already flowing in, and this is a great opportunity to be a part of the opening team at one of the busiest restaurants in town Expect high volume, steady pay & hours, a culture of teamwork and high standards, and insane Italian food
Training is expected to begin immediately following Valentine's Weekend. If you can start sooner, you may be eligible to begin training at our downtown Germantown location
Position Summary
Line & Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, producing quality meals, and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. All Cooks follow recipes consistently, keep our prep kitchen & hot line organized, communicate all needs or issues with Chefs & Managers, and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal. Pelato Line & Prep cooks will work with a tight-knit team in a family-owned & fast paced environment, where input and ideas are appreciated and celebrated
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- 2 Years Kitchen experience in high volume establishments
- Food preparation and collaboration with kitchen & Chef team
- Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste
- Assists with preparation of family meal, receiving and organizing products, and management of supplies
- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition
- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance
- Adheres to all Health Department standards & practices
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment

Requisitos y responsabilidades
2 años de experiencia en cocina en establecimientos de gran volumen
Preparación de alimentos y colaboración con el equipo de cocina y chef
Elaborar platos de alta calidad, tanto en diseño como en sabor
Asistir en la preparación de comidas familiares, la recepción y organización de productos, y la gestión de suministros
Garantizar la calidad de los alimentos y el buen estado de la cocina
Mantener las estaciones limpias y cumplir con las normas de seguridad alimentaria
Ofrecer sugerencias e ideas creativas para mejorar el rendimiento de la cocina
Cumplir con todas las normas y prácticas del Departamento de Salud
Supervisar y mantener el equipo de cocina
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
