In that spirit, we seek an Advanced High School Math Teacher who will teach with intellectual rigor, pastoral care, and a missionary heart.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will teach upper-level high school math courses—including Advanced Placement (AP) offerings such as Calculus, Statistics, and/or other advanced courses—within a supportive and Christ-centered environment. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to foster critical thinking, problem solving, and the integration of faith and reason across the curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach advanced math courses (including AP) with clarity, excellence, and high expectations.

  • Integrate a Catholic worldview into lesson design (e.g., the order and beauty of mathematics, service of the common good, ethical use of data).

  • Open and close class with prayer; joyfully witness to the Gospel in word and example.

  • Partner with Campus Ministry by supporting school liturgies, retreats, and service initiatives; accompany students in their spiritual and moral formation.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians as co-educators in a spirit of charity and truth.

  • Maintain alignment with College Board/AP Course Audit requirements and school accreditation standards.

  • Use data-informed instruction, timely feedback, and differentiated strategies to help every student grow.

  • Contribute to the life of the school (house system, clubs, tutoring, activities) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (required).

  • Advanced degree and/or AP training/certification (preferred).

  • Prior successful experience teaching high school and/or AP-level math (strongly preferred).

  • Practicing Catholic strongly preferred; all candidates must support and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church and the mission of Catholic education.

  • Demonstrated ability to pray with students, integrate Catholic social teaching, and promote virtue.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; collaborative, mission-driven mindset.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications; diocesan benefits offered.

Safe Environment
