Job Summary:
Angel Ventures Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Loan Processor & Team Lead to oversee loan processing operations and provide leadership to a team of loan processors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage loan processing, a strong background in compliance and regulatory standards, and supervisory experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of mortgage and student loan processors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated loan issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Oversee daily workflow, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to maintain efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Ensure all loan processing staff adhere to company policies, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct training sessions to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
Mortgage Loan Processing
  • Review and verify mortgage loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather and validate necessary documentation.
  • Ensure the timely processing and submission of mortgage loan applications to underwriting.
  • Monitor the loan pipeline and prioritize workload to meet strict closing deadlines.
  • Stay updated on mortgage lending policies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Student Loan Processing
  • Assist borrowers with federal student loan repayment options, including PSLF and IDR plans.
  • Guide clients through student loan consolidation applications and annual employment certification forms.
  • Educate borrowers on eligibility requirements and loan forgiveness opportunities.
  • Communicate with student loan servicers on behalf of clients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student loan applications and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in mortgage loan processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Leadership: Strong experience managing, training, and mentoring loan processors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in loan origination systems, compliance regulations, and mortgage underwriting guidelines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of mortgage lending laws and processes, with familiarity in student loan programs.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first approach.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze loan scenarios and troubleshoot processing issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mortgage Loan Processor (MLP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with student loan servicers and federal loan processing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations.
