The Senior Product Engineer
will support cross-functional product development initiatives from concept through production. The position requires strong leadership, project management, and technical problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities within a fast-moving environment. They will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, engineering, suppliers, and testing partners to drive successful execution of product initiatives.

Senior Product Engineer Responsibilities

  • Meet with business management, marketing, and R&D teams to review product ideas and developmental needs.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate comparable products, features, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and marketing stakeholders to assess feasibility and scope.
  • Redesign or modify existing products to enhance performance, consumer experience, or cost efficiency.
  • Develop detailed design projects, specifications, documentation, and workflow materials.
  • Present product concepts, updates, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee engineering and development of product prototypes.
  • Perform functional, usability, and durability testing on prototypes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support and oversee production processes to ensure quality and design intent.

Senior Product Engineer Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in initiative leadership, project management, marketing operations, or workflow/process ownership.
  • Ability to implement structured work processes, manage multifunctional collaboration, and effectively drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develops execution plans and manages engagement across various business functions and supplier partners.
  • Demonstrated strengths in leadership, agility, collaboration, coaching, discipline, business understanding, and technical competence.
  • Skilled in identifying root causes, assessing risk, and determining mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data for reporting, performance tracking, gap analysis, and process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
  • Experience reviewing product specifications and technical standards.
  • Experience working with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and third-party testing labs.
  • Foundational knowledge of key manufacturing processes such as blow molding and injection molding.
