Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Java Technical Architect
to join a high-performing team responsible for the development and support of critical commercial business applications in the Natural Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) domain. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, design scalable solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of initiatives across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of end-to-end technical solutions, including system architecture, integration patterns, data models, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and development standards.
  • Develop reusable framework components to accelerate application development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solution designs with business objectives.
  • Conduct issue reviews, root cause analyses, and implement strategies to prevent recurring problems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements using current and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and business continuity requirements in all technical strategies.
  • Analyze software performance and help establish benchmarks for application efficiency.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and QA analysts to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Provide after-hours support for production migrations and incident management as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in technical roles within medium to large organizations.
  • Proven experience in developing reusable components and N-Tier architecture-based solutions.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Java, web services, CSS, XML/XSLT, HTML, JavaScript, JUnit, UI frameworks, and relational databases.
  • Expertise in object-oriented programming, software design patterns, Spring framework, data structures, multithreading, synchronization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Azure cloud-native development (PaaS, IaaS, CDN).
  • Knowledge of full SDLC processes, including coding standards, version control, and unit testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as C#, Python, JSON, and ORM frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools (GIT, Azure DevOps, Ansible).
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, API design, and modular system development.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with IT operations, automation, cloud computing, monitoring, and logging.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR), and secure coding practices.
  • Strategic planning experience for long-term IT system vision and scalability.

Experience with designing high-performance data storage solutions and managing large data volumes.
