Position Title: Dental Laboratory Technician – Zirconia & Digital Workflow Specialist

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Solutions Dental Laboratory is seeking an experienced Dental Laboratory Technician with advanced technical skills in zirconia contouring, ceramic finishing, stain and glaze, and digital production workflows. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating and maintaining digital design and manufacturing systems, ensuring precise and esthetic restorative outcomes that "deliver the wow factor" and "get the message to Garcia."

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contour, finish margins, stain, and glaze zirconia and layered ceramic restorations to meet high esthetic and functional standards.
  • Utilize 3Shape Dental System software for digital design, including crown and bridge frameworks, full-contour zirconia, metal frameworks, AOX, and implant restorations.
  • Operate and maintain 5-axis milling machines and 3D printers within a fully integrated digital workflow.
  • Verify and adjust restoration fits, contacts, and occlusion as required.
  • Collaborate with design, milling, and quality control teams to optimize production efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols, material handling procedures, and equipment maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a dental laboratory environment.
  • Proven expertise in zirconia contouring, ceramic finishing, and surface characterization.
  • Strong working knowledge of 3Shape design software. Open to Exocad Design Software.
  • Experience with 5-axis milling systems (e.g., Roland, Ivoclar, or similar) and 3D printing technologies.
  • Ability to interpret and execute digital and analog prescriptions accurately and read margins.
  • High attention to detail, manual dexterity, and consistency in producing esthetic, functional restorations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
