Overvie

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive driving experience across different vehicle types, such as tractor-trailers, box trucks, limousines, and heavy equipment. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety. The Driver will be responsible for transporting goods, passengers, or equipment efficiently and securely while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Duties

  • Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, box trucks, limousines, dump trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, and shuttle buses.
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules for deliveries or passenger transport while adhering to traffic laws.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or passengers regarding schedules or issues during transit.
  • Perform basic mechanical checks and report any vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist in moving equipment or cargo between locations as required.
  • Ensure the security of cargo or passengers during transit by adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver experience or bus driving.
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for tractor-trailers or heavy equipment).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience operating various types of commercial vehicles such as forklift, tow truck, heavy haul equipment, or yard jockeys is a plus.
  • Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using tools like pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Clean driving record with the ability to pass background checks and drug screenings where applicable.
  • Physical ability to move cargo manually when necessary and operate manual transmission vehicles if required.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or military driving is advantageous.
