What You'll Do:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our supply chain team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and ensure seamless warehouse operations through meticulous data analysis and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as AS400, SAP, or similar platforms to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies, stock shortages, or excess inventory, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize purchasing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Utilize data mining and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to analyze supply chain metrics, identify trends, and support demand planning activities.
  • Manage inventory control processes including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and materials handling to maintain optimal stock levels across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices in materials management and order fulfillment.
  • Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, heavy lifting, and materials handling while adhering to safety standards.
  • Leverage analytics skills for financial modeling related to pricing strategies, inventory valuation, and demand forecasting to enhance overall supply chain performance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must be over age of 21 with valid Driver's License.
  • At least 2 years experience in inventory management within a warehouse or distribution environment with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or SAP, SQL for data extraction, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data collection, mining, root cause analysis, and supply chain analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing negotiations, contracts management, and supplier management.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics activities such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and demand planning.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely; relevant forklift certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to collaborate across departments including merchandising, retail management, and 3PL providers.
