Job Description
Emtek Inc., a FBIN company, is a market leader providing entrance products, cabinet and bath hardware to the residential market through an extensive North American dealer network. In this position, you will be responsible for procurement of both direct and indirect materials and executing buying strategies for suppliers located worldwide. This successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spending, maximize supplier performance and service internal customer.

Location:
This position requires onsite presence at our office in the City of Industry, CA Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders based upon demand plan for a wide variety of components, custom parts, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Manage the performance of an assigned group of suppliers and initiate timely release of purchase orders for production materials.
• Analyze current orders, historical data and records to determine the best source and establish replenishment requirements.
• Accurate demand forecasting and purchasing practices to support operation's strategic goals of ordering sufficient quantity to meet ongoing customer demand.
• Maintain adequate inventory level or supply of assigned commodities to ensure on-time delivery to satisfy our customers.
• Timely communication with suppliers regarding prices, delivery time, payment terms, and other conditions.
• Resolve problems related to selection of source, price, deliveries, specifications, quality and other terms with suppliers and production departments.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure suppliers understand company requirements and deliverables.
• Report on material readiness to support production demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong familiarity with purchasing, vendor management, customer service and logistic and sustainability requirements along with decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP preferred.
• Working knowledge of supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to read and manipulate large amounts of data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of company associates.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of hardware industry a plus.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $73,000 USD - $100,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
