Breast Ultrasound Technologist

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with expertise in sonography techniques. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients, ensuring high-quality images while providing excellent patient care. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric imaging.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Utilize sonography equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed and communicate findings to the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on patient needs.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of the ultrasound equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Ultrasonographer or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Familiarity with Ob/Gyn ultrasound procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while ensuring accurate diagnostic results.
