GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the overall Quality and Food Safety of our Beef and Lamb products at our Swedesboro facility. Must be well-versed in the Quality standards set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and other Regulatory agencies pertaining to processed meat products. Provide clear and concise documentation reports on a daily basis regarding the operation as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices of the plant and company personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Conduct Pre-Operational and Operational Inspections and document findings.
  • Review finished product labels in the Re-pack Room and prepare processing for the next day.
  • Perform Warehouse Documentation reviews.
  • Execute Temperature Monitor Checks in accordance with the established HACCP program.
  • Perform Receiving Inspections.
  • Communicate Foreign Object discoveries and provide root cause identification and corrective action measures.
  • Inspect returned goods, document findings, and provide disposition.
  • Perform for Sale Inspections.
  • Perform Shelf-Life testing and assist in sampling collection.
  • Provide Chemically Lean testing results and fat testing.
  • Execute ATP environmental swabbing in the facility (both food contact and non-food contact surfaces).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment
  • Meat exposure / meat experience a plus
  • HACCP Certified preferred
  • USDA manufacturing exposure/experience a plus
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook; able to complete formulas
  • Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in English
  • Excels as a team player
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International, USA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
