What You'll Do
As Director of Sales – New Business, you will drive new revenue by building strategic relationships across Retail, QSR, and CPG customers. You'll own the full new-business lifecycle—from lead generation and deal execution to contract negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.

This role blends strategy with hands-on execution and requires a leader who can deliver immediate impact while helping shape Tosca's long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow Tosca's emergent new business in Retail, Quick Service Restaurant, and Consumer Product Goods supply chains.
  • Contribute to the development of New Business Strategic Plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives. Recommend innovation, new products and new services to support strategic growth.
  • Become the Tosca expert for these customer supply chains' supply and demand, trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Report and advise on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts. Provide sales forecasts and track performance against budget.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups including commercial, finance, supply chain, operations, marketing, asset management, and customer experience.
  • Conduct in-person visits to engage with customers, participate in trade events, and drive field-level execution (~60% travel).
  • Monitor performance through regular sales reports, forecasts, and budget reviews. Adjust plans to meet targets.
  • Ensure Salesforce is updated weekly with accurate data on opportunities, activities, and pipeline status.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in retail, perishable, or consumer product goods supply chain sales experience
  • Established prospecting and closing skills
  • Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of account acquisition and growth.
  • Strong analytical skills in supply chain cost modeling and market research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% with overnight stays.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • High-energy, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience selling packaging or perishable supply chain solutions preferred.

Work Schedule
This is a remote role open to candidates located in states where Tosca is a registered employer. The position requires up to 50% travel, including overnight stays, to meet with customers, prospects, and internal teams across the territory.
