The Tribe is dedicated to serving its community and advancing the development of its government and programs.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tribal Foster Care Worker, located in Elk Grove, CA. The role involves providing case management for the Tribe's foster care program, ensuring compliance with tribal, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, coordinating with families and service providers, advocating for children and families, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports. The Tribal Foster Care Worker will also support the planning and implementation of culturally relevant foster care programs and services.

Qualifications

  • Case management skills, including assessment, planning, and coordination
  • Knowledge of tribal, state, and federal foster care regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed reports
  • Cultural competence and understanding of Native American communities and values
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field required
  • Master's degree preferred previous foster care experience, or ICWA knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
