$ $20.95 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Cooking School Chef. This person will assist with educating customers on how to cook with the high-quality products, tools, and ingredients that we sell. Our cooking school allows everyday people to learn basic to advanced recipes in a relaxed atmosphere.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the cooking school is clean, well-maintained, and meets company standards of appearancePreps products for use in the cooking schoolDelivers excellent customer service while assisting with teaching hands-on and demonstrative classes in the cooking school, hosting private events in the cooking school, and catering special events.Assists with the development of recipes for use in the cooking schoolEffectively markets and sells Harmons' productsCompletes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely mannerAssist with the planning of menus and purchasing necessary ingredientsSets a professional and positive example to othersCommunicates effectively and works closely with the Cooking School Chef and Cooking School CoordinatorEnsures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintainedAssist in other areas as neededMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Mentors, provides feedback, and completes necessary paperwork for cooking school student interns.
