Job Summary:

Provide Athletic Training Services to a local high school/college in coordination with physicians at Upstate Orthopedics.

-Available after school hours and weekends to provide care to student athletes during games and practices
- Provide home game coverage to assigned school.
-Travel with Varsity Football and other high risk sports to away games.
-Provide care in injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries, first aid, and emergency care.
-Documentation of Injuries/Illness via EMR
-Assist Athletic Director as needed/per their instruction
-Proper Referral to overseeing Physician
-Abide by standing orders with Physician and scope of practice in NYS



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and certification by the BOC (Board of Certification).

Must have BOC Athletic Trainers Certification by start date (new grads encouraged to apply)
-Must hold current BLS for Healthcare Professionals Certification
-Must have NYS Athletic Trainers License through the NYS Board of Education by start date

Typically 2:00pm-9:00pm M-F, Saturdays as needed. 12-month employment.

L1: $58,459 - $64,272

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
