We believe exceptional hospice care begins with strong leadership, empowered teams, and operational excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Vice President of Operations (Hospice) to lead and scale our hospice operations across multiple markets.

TheSenior Vice President of Operations (SVP of Operations)is responsible for the overall operational performance, quality outcomes, financial results, and strategic growth of the hospice service line. This executive leader partners closely with clinical, financial, compliance, and growth teams to ensure regulatory excellence, strong census performance, and a culture rooted in compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of hospice operations across all locations/markets
  • Drive operational efficiency, margin improvement, and census growth
  • Develop and manage operating budgets, KPIs, and performance dashboards
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and standards

Clinical Quality & Compliance

  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee adherence to Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), state regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and survey readiness efforts
  • Monitor outcomes related to CAHPS, quality metrics, and patient/family satisfaction

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop hospice executive directors, regional leaders, and operational teams
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and servant leadership
  • Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning for key leadership roles

Growth & Strategy

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, expansion, and de novo acquisitions
  • Support integration of new locations, acquisitions, and service expansions
  • Partner with business development teams to align operations with referral growth strategies

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, HR, compliance, IT, and clinical teams to align organizational goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team

Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MSN, or related) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospice operations
  • Multi-site hospice leadership experience required
  • Deep knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare reimbursement, and compliance
  • Proven track record of driving growth, operational performance, and quality outcomes

Qualifications - Preferred

  • Experience leading hospice operations across multiple states or regions
  • Background in scaling organizations or supporting acquisitions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls
