Bridal Hair and Makeup Artist

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Hair and Makeup Artist to join our beauty team. Candidate must have cosmetology licence for 3+ years. In this role, you will provide exceptional hair and makeup services tailored to bridal/ event clients, ensuring they look and feel their best on their special day. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty artistry, possesses excellent communication skills, and is dedicated to delivering a memorable client experience. Duties

• Consult with brides and clients to understand their desired look and provide professional recommendations
• Perform professional makeup application, including contouring, highlighting, and color matching
• Style hair according to the client's preferences, including updos, curls, and intricate designs
• Apply eyelash extensions
• Maintain proper sanitation standards for all tools and products to ensure client safety
• Assist clients with skin preparation using dermabrasion techniques when necessary
• Upsell additional beauty services or retail products to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
• Capture high-quality photographs of completed looks for portfolio and promotional purposes
• Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds
• Expertise in cosmetology, makeup application, hair styling, eyelash extensions
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols for beauty tools and products
• Understanding of color theory to create harmonious makeup looks that complement skin tones and wedding themes
• Ability to work with photography equipment or collaborate with photographers for bridal shoots (nice-to-have)
• Retail sales skills to recommend products that suit clients' needs and preferences (nice-to-have)
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain beauty options and build rapport with clients
• Ability to upsell additional services or retail items tactfully to enhance client experience and business growth
