Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunication and network systems. This role requires technical expertise in fiber splicing, network installation, and electrical systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality service in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and low voltage systems, ensuring reliable connectivity for clients across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and telecommunication systems according to project specifications
  • Perform fiber splicing and network installation for residential and commercial clients
  • Set up and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment
  • Conduct field service activities including system testing, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Use hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to ensure proper connections and system integrity
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and system configurations
  • Adhere to safety protocols related to low voltage wiring, electrical work, and mechanical procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems
  • Knowledge of Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to cable management and electrical components
  • Experience as a service technician or in a field service environment preferred
  • Proficiency with hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics related to telecommunications and networking
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Valid certification or relevant technical training is a plus
  • Electrical experience or background in telecommunications is highly desirable
