Manager, Talent Acquisition.

The
Manager of Talent Acquisition
is responsible for leading and managing the talent acquisition function within the organization. This role develops and executes recruitment strategies, oversees the recruitment team, and ensures that the organization attracts and hires top talent to meet its business needs.
What You Will Do:
- Develops and executes comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals and workforce planning
- Utilizes market data and industry trends to continuously refine and improve recruitment practices
- Oversees the development and execution of sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates
- Leads high-impact recruiting initiatives for critical and senior level positions across the organization
- Partners with executive leadership and hiring managers to understand long-term talent needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies.
- Conducts in-depth interviews, assessments, and reference checks to evaluate candidates' qualifications, fit, and potential.
- Advises on talent market trends, compensation, benchmarking, and effective recruitment techniques.
- Ensures the recruitment process is efficient, effective, and provides a positive candidate experience.
- Monitors and analyzes recruitment metrics and data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven improvements
- Prepares and presents regular reports on recruitment activities, metrics, and outcomes to senior management
- Manages and develops the team to ensure performance meets and/or exceeds business and personal goals and objectives
- Provides leadership, training, guidance, and support to talent acquisition staff. Leads and mentors team members. Assists management with teambuilding activities.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline, and 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience, including 1-2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software
- Strong knowledge of people management polices and procedures, including hiring, performance management, corrective action, and compensation administration
- Good people management and mentoring skills including coaching, interviewing, and providing feedback and recognition
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies and manage a recruitment team
- Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to manage team resources to ensure attainment of departmental objectives
Preferred:
- Experience at a high-growth, life sciences start-up
- Experience at a CRO
