Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving store performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage various store operations effectively. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that the store meets its sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and budgeting to ensure efficient operation of the store.
  • Implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the store.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory control, sales performance, and financial transactions.
  • Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding pricing and promotions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Handle cash management processes including cash handling procedures and cashier oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with a strong understanding of retail operations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and inventory management.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and employee development.
  • Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail software applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, and sales management practices.
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
