Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance tailored to each client's needs.
  • Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders to foster independence.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
  • Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals promptly.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
  • Follow care plans meticulously while adapting to individual preferences and requirements.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and infection control procedures to protect clients' health.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in home care or related settings is highly valued; certification in caregiving is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide respectful, patient-centered care with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently; experience with emergency medicine procedures is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as medication management and vital sign monitoring.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
  • Physical stamina for assisting with mobility tasks; ability to lift or move clients safely is essential.
  • Familiarity with specialized care needs such as geriatrics or post-acute care enhances service quality.
