Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an AP Specialist.

Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. We provide cradle-to-grave services for primary and secondary composite structures. This position is located in our San Diego, CA office and reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist provides financial and administrative support to Rock West Composites and its affiliated manufacturing and real estate companies. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts payable and invoicing functions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities and locations.
  • Process vendor invoices, check requests, and credit card transactions in a timely manner.
  • Utilize accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) to manage daily financial tasks.
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount opportunities and payment terms.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.
  • Manage accounts payable workflow through the scanning system.
  • Maintain communication with staff and vendors regarding accounts payable matters.
  • Organize and maintain financial retention files in compliance with recordkeeping policies.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, along with performing additional administrative support duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred.
  • 3–5 years of accounting and/or finance experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience working with NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures and best practices.
    Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position falls within $26-$30 per hour plus $3,000 annual bonus. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
