Overview

Direct Lumber & Door (DLD) is a trusted supplier of high-quality lumber, doors, and building materials serving contractors and builders throughout the region. We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our Lumber team. This role is essential to delivering materials to customer job sites safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Pay

  • $27.00 – $31.00 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

  • Deliver building materials to customer job sites in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate flatbed trucks and safely load/unload materials
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
  • Collect, verify, and follow delivery instructions
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly

 What We're Looking For

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Proven experience as a commercial truck driver
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DOT and truck-driving regulations
  • Ability to drive long hours and adapt to traffic, weather, and job-site conditions
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Comfortable using electronic equipment (GPS, mobile apps, etc.)

 Requirements

  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening
  • Pass a company background check related to safe driving
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Type of freight: Building materials
