We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities

  • Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity
  • Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
  • Assist with product demos, merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining store displays
  • Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Support supervising staff when necessary and assist in training new team members
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe shopping environment

Qualifications

  • Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
  • Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
  • Ability to upsell products and promote sales effectively
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
  • Experience with POS systems, merchandising, stocking, and product demos is desirable
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
  • Supervising experience is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
