Job Title: Senior Engineer

Job Descriptions: Apply the principles of SoC (System on Chip) and high-speed low-power VLSI (Very Large Scaled Integrated-circuits) design to perform advanced chip physical design and implementation for TSMC's advanced processing technology, including block level floor plan, clock tree synthesis, place and route, RC extraction (parasitic extraction), static timing analysis (STA) and timing closure, IR/EM (voltage drop analysis/electro-migration) analysis and fix, DRC/LVS/ERC (Design Rule Check/Layout Versus Schematic/Electrical Rule Check) clean up, and tape-out sign off, using Perl/TCL language programming. Provide solutions to complex design implementation issues. Use Perl/Tcl/Python language programming to enhance workflow and improve efficiency in data analysis of the design. Provide onsite customer support and other related advanced chip implementation job duties as necessary.

Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, and six (6) months of experience in a related position.

Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Electrical and electronic engineering principles of Circuit Theory, Solid State Devices and Circuit, Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation, Analog Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronic Circuits, Electromagnetic Waves and Radiating Systems, Micro Electronic, Electronic Devices, Telecommunication System, Digital Communication, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Power Electronics, VLSI Circuits and Systems, RF and Microwave Engineering, and Electronic Design Automation.

Work site: TSMC Technology, Inc., 2851 Junction Ave., San Jose, CA 95134, and various unanticipated locations

Salary Range:  $156,853 to $165,000 /year.

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $156,853 to $165,000 /year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.  TSMC's total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
