Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including intake and verification of personal information
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS) protocols
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment plans
  • Support medical administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining organized medical records

Requirements

  • Prior experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics or emergency medicine environments; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards for accurate documentation
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with medical-surgical procedures across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and OR (Operating Room) settings
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, X-ray procedures, and inpatient care support
  • Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and outpatient clients
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments like urgent care centers or hospital wards
  • bi-lingual is a plus but not required
