Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our tobacco & vape store providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the store. Duties

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately during customer transactions.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
  • Assist in merchandising efforts by ensuring products are displayed attractively and stocked appropriately.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
  • Handle cash transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  • Utilize effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cashiering duties and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Experience with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base.
  • Ability to demonstrate products effectively through engaging presentations.
  • Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing sales data and inventory.
