Job Description:

The Space and Airborne Systems Segment of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Supervisor, Production Planning to join our team in Clifton, New Jersey.  The ideal candidate is an energetic individual with strong problem-solving ability as well as excellent skills in the areas of communication (both written and verbal); organization (physical and electronic); collaboration; and interpersonal interactions. The candidate must be detailed-oriented, reliable, able to prioritize, follow-up, and possess strong time management skills. Depot Repairs is responsible for identifying and resolving hardware problems and communicating hardware statuses within a timely manner. Under the general supervision, this position is responsible for oversight of lower level professionals or supervisors and/or higher level support. Communicates with parties inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures. Makes improvements to processes, systems, and solutions. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on department results. Understands basic management approaches and has proficient knowledge of job area.

Essential Functions:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements.Assists in the development of strategic plans for depot activity; implements and manages depot plansAdvises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers.Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments.Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.Recommends improvements to processes and policies in support of organizational goals; implements departmental policies and procedures to maximize outputPresents corrective and preventative actions to maintain world-class customer service and continuous improvementCollaborates with other department supervisors to ensure smooth inter-department processes and proceduresCompletes all projects assigned by management within the required timeframeLeads periodic inventory audits in the department and reconciles physical countsInterfaces with Operations Program Managers, Shop Floor Supervisors, and Operations Leadership to schedule and prioritize hardware completionsFacilitates coordination and communication between supporting functions to develop a strategy to increase repair throughput and reduce cycle timesCreates, tracks, and monitors monthly metrics and exceeds monthly delivery goals defined internally by implementing a repair strategy for increasing repair velocityRegularly reviews and updates command media and creates SOP work instructionsMaintains team engagement and a positive work environment, supporting the company's culture

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experienceAbility to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.Proficient in using Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with MRP systems/toolsPMP Certification or equivalentPowerBIData Analysis

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Clifton, NJ is $68,500- $127,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
