We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment and automotive repair, with a strong focus on diesel engine systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered machinery and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards, utilizing mechanical expertise to deliver exceptional service. MONDAY-FRIDAY, NO WEEKENDS

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems on heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and general vehicle inspections.
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Assist with assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair projects to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used in compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic Service Technician or similar role within a dealership or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate large equipment safely.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Valid driver's license preferred; relevant certifications in automotive or heavy equipment repair preferred.
