Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Sidewalk Snow Removal Technician to assist with maintaining safe and accessible walkways during winter months. This role involves clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, ensuring safety for pedestrians and property owners. The ideal candidate will have experience with various tools and equipment, possess a strong work ethic, and be committed to providing excellent service in all weather conditions.

Duties

  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, and entryways using shovels, snow blowers, or other snow removal equipment
  • Apply salt or de-icing agents to prevent ice formation and ensure safety
  • Operate power tools such as snow plows or salt spreaders efficiently and safely
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents during snow removal operations
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate efforts during heavy snowfall events

Requirements

  • Prior experience with snow plowing, landscaping, or landscape maintenance is preferred
  • Ideal candidate is familiar with using a Ventrex or Snow Raider
  • Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to handle equipment responsibly
  • Valid license or relevant certification is desirable but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
