Our dental office is looking for a competent Dental Assistant (willing to train the right person) who will help make the patient experience more efficient and pleasant. You'll ensure excellent patient care and help lift administrative and clinical tasks off the dentist's shoulders.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients to the dental office and ensure their comfort
  • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep dental rooms clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments and assist with administrative duties
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

  • Proven experience as a dental assistant (we're happy to train the right person)
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks (e.g., coronal polishing) is a plus
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, organization, and reliability
  • High school diploma required; dental assistant school preferred
  • Additional certification or training (e.g., EFDA) is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
