Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and reconciliation
  • Assist with food preparation tasks in the café or quick service environment, following food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Upsell menu items or retail products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning food prep areas, and ensuring overall sanitation standards are met
  • Support food handling procedures by adhering to health regulations and safety guidelines in a fast-paced setting
  • Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service in a fast food or restaurant environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward customers and team members
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous but not mandatory; culinary experience is welcomed
  • Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks associated with food service roles
